I went the the Science Centre for the exhibition on IFuture and ISpace on 16/3/07 with RGS infocomm club. Don't be mistaken... only 4 people turned up. Anyway, the exhibition began with three speeches, some word games and three presentations. The word games were really fun. I shall try and rack my brains for them. They are played by guessing the hidden meaning of the words below :)
1. M1LLION
2. MCE
MCE
MCE
3. SITTING
WORLD
4. PAWALKRK
5. LAL
6.1,000,000 AIR
7. BIG BIG
ignore ignore
8. t i m e
abde
Now, for the answers.......
1. 1 in a million. That was easy...
2. 3 blind mice
3. sitting on top of the world
4. walk in a park. Thought I was writting gibberish huh?
5. you were thinking of LOL right? Sad to say, it has nothing to do with that. It actually means, all mixed up. :P
6. millionaire
7. too BIG too ignore (two big wo ignore)
8. long time no see. Figure that out yourself :)
We had three presentations by Adobe, Apple and Novell. The presentations were so cool. Novell gave out ,or throw rather, twenty plush penguins. I guess they did not have enough strength so they were unable to throw it to theback :( Next was the boring part... the introduction and ice breakers part. Lunch was not bad. We had pasta, veggie, fish, fruit punch and dessert. Yummy :P Then the tour began finallyy. In IFuture, we were greeted with cute animated wooden toys that were intricately made. We got to play golf that needed no skill or whatsoever. All you had to do was to swing the club and the ball would go sailing into the air. No positioning needed :) Its cute cool what technology can do. There were new gadgets that were not in the market yet. So cool, cute and fascinating.
However, I think the best thing is that I met my good friend at the exhibition from Duman High Secondary. She has been my friend since nursery. Thats about nine years. I rode on this interesting bicycle like thing that is not a bicycle. It moves when you lean forward and sideways when you lean sideways using the handle. It can travel smoothly and fast and takes up less than half a space of a bicycle. Maybe, I can used one next time.
In ISpace, we were given special cards that could store our own information. So where ever we go, as long as we are near any computer there, they would sense out card and display our particulars. You can store anything you want in that card and then later sent what you store to your email. They had this 'pond' there that has no water. It works on the touch senser and stimulations so when you touch it, all the 'fishes' inside will swim away and the lotus leaves will float away. To make the effect more real, ripples will be created. The computers there have no mouse. The hand is the mouse. even the toilet has one... o_O" Well, that is all I will tell you. If you want to know more, go and experience it yourself. I don't want to bore you.
