The heat hit us like a wave and sweat poured down like a river, trickling from the sides of our head to our neck. The music finally plays and we get up slowly from our 'squatting' postions to dance. Grooving to the beat, we shook our shakers. We were practising for our mass dance. It was 11 in the morning...the sun was not up yet.

The rehersal was a success and we got to eat our lunch which consisted of chicken, vegetables and rice. Gobbling down our lunch like starving wolves, me and karen put on our purple bandanas and waited for the march pass rehersal. (I'm going to skip this)

After all the lame stuff like the march pass and the saying of the sports fest pledge plus declaring the opening of the event by our GOH, the excitement and fun began. We would be doing our mass dance.

My hands trembled a little withe nervousness. We completed our dance without any 'casualties'. After the dance, my thoughts wondered off to the Saturday before this actual event...

We arrived that day at the gym early in the morning only to hear that the teachers thought we were really horrible in our mass dance. They were acutally change it to some spastic dance that made us seem like total weirdos. Only later to find that it was acutually a joke for April Fool's Day.

"Boom!" the steir starter's gun fired, bringing me back to reality. "Go Hadley Go!..." The Hadians cheered their lungs out. The runners running to the best of their ability. One race after another. Waddle, Hadley and Richardson competed competently. The runtners had a close fight but only the best could win. The teachers also took part actively in the staff relay race. There was a Waddlian runner that was really good. She kept her pace constant despite the long run... really good perserverance.

A spectacular display of vibrant dance and cheerleading was led by the cheerleaders: Hadley, Tarbet, Richardson, Buckle and Waddle. Buckle's performance was really inspiring to all cheerleader wannabes althig. They were very syncronised, precise and their creativity was wild.
Waddle and Tarbets' perfomance was not bad too. They related back to the relevance of their theme: the Hawaiian nature and Tango. Impressive. Richardson's and Hadley's did not really make an impact on me. 加油!! Anyway, Richardson won. (:

The Final Results: Hadley won the Best Banner and Overall Champ for Sports Fest 2007 (: I shall sign off here. I still have a Formative assessment to do ):
