Last Friday, 11 May, TGD. (traditional games day) It was a day after the celebration and the MYAs :D The day before, they made an announcement over the PA system saying 'There is school tmr. Please come in your pinnafold and bring your PE attire.' The next day, when everyone returned to school, there was a variety in attire. Some wore their pinnafold with their PE attire inside while others wore the pinnafold and the blouse and literaly brought their PE attire. What a weird combination.
Well, we proceeded to the gym as stated in the schedule. Only to find out that we had to be in the camteen. There, we played pick up sticks and kuti kuti. Pick up sticks is a game whereby you are supposed to pick up the sticks one by one without moving any other. If you do, then you will lose a turn. Karen, Adalie and I played 2 rounds of pick up sticks. I won the first round and Adalie the other. Sandra's rich imagination got her thinking that the sticks looked like some joss stick. The plastic kuti kuti counters were really cute. But to be honest, I prefer the rubber version of the game. Thats what I played in primary 2 and 3. :)
Next station was at the Mini Amphitheatre. There we played hop scotch. I used to play that every single morning with my friends when I was young and I still did when I was primary3 at Charla's house. We actually used chalk to draw on the floor of the corridor of the condo we stayed in. How naughty. But we cleaned it up. The area was a bit congested and there was not enough hop sctoches for everyone.
The next station was fun... exciting. Didn't noe that traditional games could have been so fun to play. The game is called zero point. FUN!! It s this long string of rubber bands which are held by two people. And you have to jump over the rope as it goes higher and higher. A really high energy needing game. Miss Tan was really good at it. 0_O"
The last station was chapteh... wonder if this is how you spell it. Anyway, Adalie, Karen and I successfully passed the chapteh one round. Whoo!!
Oya, forgot, We played 5 stones too. And then we tried ridiculous stuff with the 5 stones. You should have seen it.
I really didn't think that we would actually sweat so much... lol
