Another day with the boring job of checking the papers and receiving these dreaded white sheets. Received History, Literature and Biology Papers today. And if I could draw a line graph for the results would be from high then, lower and lower. LOL. For History, we were all gathered in the Hall, awaiting the teacher's arrival. Miss Tay made her grand entrance with the other teachers. After telling us all the mistakes we had made, our spirits were low again. Everyone praying with their fingers crossed. Its like a vicious cycle that never ends. Anyway, I got back my paper and to my surprise 13/16. After more explanations it seems that Miss Tay forgot to tell us 4 very important words to write: From my own knowledge. Those 4 words could have saved everyone 1 mark for question b) on cross referencing. However, I feel that Miss Tay should not be blamed for this, she has been trying very hard to tell us the important points. She probably was not informed or it slipped her mind that these 4 words had to be included when you used your own knowledge as well to cross reference. Overall, the paper was not too bad. I left the hall quite happy but not too happy. I had lots of administrative work to do again. This time for different things. It was collecting Dreamweaver, Flash and Montage day plus getting my CLE teacher to help me fill in the reccomendation form for OM and IvP. And my entire half an hour break was spent just doing that.

Next was Literature in the Hall as well. As I mentioned eariler, we had a paper on the Miracle Worker. I did a little worst than the previous paper - 18/25. But still, I am contented with the marks. I just have to brush up on my interpretation skills. Some Bloopers made were:

1.) What is revealed of Annie's character in this extract? Support your answer with relevant evidence from the given passage.

The extract shows that Annie is sacarstic and shows her corniness. (I think she was trying to say her cheekiness. btw, it is not even needed)

Annie was a perservering and diligent teacher. She taught Helen moral values. these values are often neglected by normal teachers who only care about their salary.

Teacher's note: How would a normal teacher feel?

2. What obstacles are present in this extract with respect to the education of Helen?

Helen in mental. (mental as in crazy and needed to be sent to the Woodbridge hospital?)
Teacher's Note: she probably meant that Helen had some mental disabilities such as to understand and communicate with people.

3. Do you agree that Helen is not meant to have 'the - eyes' that Keller refers to? (Line 54). Explain and suport your answers with evidence from this extract and another event in the play.

The Keller's love wrapped Hellen in cotton wool. (Teacher's Note: this is a weird metaphor. you can just say suffocating/ hiderance instead)

There was another long break in between but we used it to do Drama Night script and norminees and actors. Wen Qi also shared with us her piercing scream. Tje script WILL be kept a secret till Drama Night is over (:

Then came Biology. It was supposed to be at the Cyber Learning Centre (CLC) but apparently the inside was used by the sec 4s and the outside by the chemistry students. Mr De Souza finally appeared and told us to go to the amphetheatre. Just when we had climbed 4 stories, we had to drag our bodies down to the 1st storey. So like Mr De Souza. He gave back our spa. I did average. 15/20 is quite ok. I am CONTENTED. I screwed up the drawing of the graph and the answering part a bit here and there. Then I was supposed to also record in the smallest unit (mm) but I did it in cm. He really has a unique style of marking papers. He divides them into 2 piles from 1 to 18 and the other from 19 onwards. LOL. Before giving out the main paper, he started reading out that he marked 147 scripts and some chim details about how we fared from this white cube. I did quite well I guess - 36half /50. I got the half mark from him marking me wrongly. PLASMOLYSIS (:

There were some really stupid questions like:
4b) State 2 ways in which air entering from machine at P differs from the air leaving it at Q.

The suggested answer
1. Contains a higher concentration of oxygen
2. Contains a lower concentration of carbon dioxide

There were also some really tricky ones so I am so happy that I PASSED :D

After the dismissal, Karen, Vicky from 107`07 and I sat at the verenda outside the gym to talk. We laughed and had fun while it was raining. LOL. Its good to have friends around. Then I went home of course to watch Bleach ep 144 but it had not been posted so I watched Claymore instead. Now at ep 5. Its quite interesting but I still love Bleach more!:D
