Today, went to Marine Parade to do some shopping with my mum at the wet market and the supermarket. Thursday is my Mum's official shopping for groceries day and since I was on holiday, she decided to make take me along. It was quite fun though. The first stop was not really at Parkway Parade. It was the Shop 'N' Save near my house. There we bought pear... and more pear. She say that the pear here are better. Dunno why... from esperience, I guess.

Now, we are at the wet market at Marine Parade. First stop: the stall selling beef. 1kg of beef... man thats alot. Then we bought potatoes and onions. She say that must look at the skin. and it must not be wrinkled. For oinion, check for rotten spots. Like patches that are grey and soft when you press them. (Not too hard though) I noticed that everything they sell there goes by weight. For this particular stall, it is S$1.70 for 1kg. Next up is the Yong Tau Fu ingredients: Bought 12 items in total. Opposite is the Fish stall. We bought a white prawnfred (I dunno the spelling) to cook for tonights dinner.
