the cool computer :D
I was at Wisma Atrium for some free camera course that came along with the purchase of a camera. So there, I learnt some camera tips at this totally cool place with cool flat-screen SONY computers and wonderful air-condtioning. (but I didn't get to use the computer though). The instructor was called Nelson. So there, I thought that cameras would probably interest guys more. I guess I was wrong. 3/4 of the people there were ladies, where did all the guys go? I was early, so I get to choose the front seat. It was fun. I learnt lots of new stuff and shall regurgitate all of it here.
Cool fact no. 1: SONY cameras are made from Carl Zeiss lenses. If spoil, don't bother to repair. Just buy a new one. The cost is about the same. This lense, is used in telescopes as well :D In all don't drop your camera.
Cool fact no. 2: Never use flash when taking fireworks. You would get some ghostly blur of white light. You can probably send it in as a ghost story.
Cool fact no 3: High ISO is good but not good all the time. In the Daytime, use maximum 200 only. You go any further than that and all the colour with turn into a super light photo.
Cool fact no 4: Macro is a really cool feature in most cameras. But turn this off when not in use. Macro enables you to focus on something small and near: like plants, insects etc.
Depending on your camera, there may be wonderful different options to take the same picture nicer and clearer. I can't probably say everything here. So these are just part of what I learnt. They gave all participants some sort of $20 voucher. At first I was quite happy, then I flipped to the back and in small prints: you must spend $100 and above to use this voucher. I could almost feel my highness dropping for about 10 degrees. So next time, read all the small prints before using a voucher. --"
I had dinner at Wisma Atrium and went home. There was this lady who put her bag on our car in order to do something (who knows what). So I was quite pissed but I kept quiet. Thank God, my Dad kept quiet, if not my may have created a scene. I can't blame her actually. A car is an expensive object, a bag and its buckle may scratch the car. So people, please do not put your bags on people's car. If you do not want to get a terrible scolding and get embarassed.
