Shopping Spree Alone/ 8:38 PM
Sunday, December 09, 2007

My parents went to OG without me. So bad right. Parents abandoned me. So I went to Plaza Sing alone, bought my lunch from the Takawow (something like that) shop. And ate 3 fishball like things. Its not bad. My first stop was the fair that they were having outside of Plaza Singapura. I managed to find the first thing that I was looking for. But I hesitated buying cause it was not really what I wanted. This was for my dad. You see, he just got a new phone, but his handphone pouch is the 'know drugs' on3. I wanted to get him something that fits his phone. A black pouch with zip and sponge for cushion. :D

Then I went around floor by floor trying to look for some Christmas presents that I have decided to but for my family. It was hard work... I did not thing that shopping was really tiring. I went to Chomel, but the prices almost shock me out of my body. You see, I was trying to get my mum a pair of hairpins. The last one I bought for here was broken already. The price for just one of the hairpins there (lowest) was S$19. My budget was only 1 pair about $20. My eyes widened. Although the range they have there is wide, the colour combination is quite good. The quality, I am not sure. But the price really does not fit the bill. So what if its Chomel, I don't see the need to spend so much. Its just not worth it.

I went to many other jewellery and accessories shop, but all I could find were the once I didn't want. My last stop was at a shop on the 3 level of the Plaza Sing. I find it not bad. Although the range was not that big, at least I could find a reasonable and nice looking one that fits the image that I had in my mind. The price was $12.90. I guess I can afford it. It seems that they were having some sale, so the acutal price I paid was $11.60. :D Phew!!

I walked around guardian and watsons, to see if I could find a bottle of Aloe Vera. This is for my brother. He had used the entire bottle of the previous one and was too lazy to but. However, I could not find it. I was trying to recall where I could get it. Now I remember: the Chinese medicine shop. Sigh... I had already left the place by then.

On my way home, a lady asked me which bus stop and what bus can be taken to go to Kong Hwa School. Little did she know that I was formally from that school. I told her and decided to stop by Sing Post to check out a few stores that I knew existed there since it was nearby. I went to see the small push cart shops... couldn't find anything. I went to the basement and there was this small shop selling bags, wallets and other stuff. I decided to see if they had handphone pouches. Surprise, they not only had them, it was what I wanted and the price was reasonable as well $5.90. Not bad. I think at least I bought something that is useful. Well, now I know why my parents always groan when Christmas comes. Conclusion: Shopping can be really tiring. I have already wrapped the presents and written the personalised cards that I thought of. Well, Merry Christmas everyone (although it still seems early)
