  Nobody beats me in Tennis There is officially 3 more days to the dreaded EYAs. Well, the teachers have been dumping homework, FAs and what nots onto us and returning all the marked assignments suddenly out of the blue that I haven't had time to read through all of them. A few weird things happened today. 1. I didn't fall asleep in class - considering that I woke up at 3 am to do Geog and Lit FA. Must be the hunger from skipping recess and enduring 3 blocks of hunger. 2. SI (Science Investigation), CSI SPA (Crime Scene Investigation Science Practical Assessment), History PT, Maths Assignments, Geog MYA (Mid-Year-Assessment) were returned today. EL PT was returned recently. I passed all of it and got an average of GP 3.6. 3. Why do I always bump into tourist in need of directions when I go home together with Jessie!? The last time was at VivoCity when we were going home from the so-called class outing whereby only 5 of us participated at Sentosa. We met an Australian couple who needed directions to Orchard. Today, we met a China guy who wants to get to City Hall (the building). To make things worst, it was raining heavily. I wonder if the guy managed to find his destination. 4. I just love Edith. She is the best bus predictor - even better than the IRIS service provided. She can predict the next bus accurately and it has been this way for about 4 times in a row... it can't be coincidence right? She disappeared mysteriously on the 190 bus today even though Jessie was sure that she got on the same bus as us. The RGS bus stop today was totally flooded. If we were to take a picture, there would be more than a 100 students at 1 bus stop trying to get into 2 190s. --" 5. I am so high. I just watched Prince of Tennis from 127 to 146. I just love the match whereby Ryoma-sama plays against Sanada (ep 128). And in ep 140-141 (1 hour special ), Tezuka comes back for a short while. It also has got Atobe, Oshitari, Kirihara, Ibu, Kamio, Sengoku, Sanada singing my favourite Ending Theme- WONDERfUL DAYS! 146 marks the start of the Junior West American Invitational Tennis Tournaments. YAY! I laughed so much from watching D. Gray-Man ep 18. Lenalee's brother is one joker with his Kumorins ( so far I, II and III) Allen looked so cute with a Tako head. HAHA! <3 Elaine |

  Atobe with rose Ore-sama no bigi ni yoi na (AGAIN) Poor Kabaji... I really pity him 'usu! Fuji as a GIRL! quite pretty   Matrix style - Tezuka You will never get to see Fuji doing this ever again I completed Prince of Tennis 119 today. Finally its Seigaku vs. Rikkaidai. These are the snapshots of the Teni Puri before the Finals. I thought it was just simply hilarious and couldn't stop laughing. Tuesday: super slack day. Geography was managable. We are currently doing on population. population pyramid, factors in population growth and studying 2 different policies. Singapore's 'Stop at 2' policy during the 1966 till present the Baby Bonus and 'Have 3 if you can afford it' policies. We are also looking at the China's One-Child Policy. Music was kind of boring because we are doing computer compositions now. Firstly, the facilities are quite old. I don't mind it but... can you imagine 8 different keyboards playing different tunes at the same time in an enclosed small airconditioned room. The blasting and clashing music was getting on my nerves. Sigh... Overall I did learn some new stuff like chords and accompaniment. CLE was peer and self evaluation. I felt that the forms that we completed were quite useless. It doesn't really specify what a true evaluation should be like. e.g. asking whether they self reflect or communicate effectively a win-win solution with the usual 'Exemplary', 'Good', 'Developing' choices. Moreover, how would you know if someone self-reflects regularly. You are not that person. Although we were given space to write examples I really couldn't think of anything to write. For example, the options says that she abides the school rules. Am I supposed to list out all the different rules that she follow. e.g. She switches off her phone during class !? I believe that evaluation should have a rubrics but not a rigid one. If should leave space to write like what your impression and how your encounters with that person has been. If you think that this person has got leadership skills than write down. An evaluation should be free-for-all with a rubrics. Students are humans and people, not products or an essay that is easy to read. You can't possibly grade someone 6/10 for character or anything else. Imagine having a GPA of 4.0 for Character and Leadership Development. Won't it sound and feel weird? Today was the LAST hands-on session for OM RS.   Just last week, a cockroach flew into the bathroom from the window while I was bathing. Dismissing as nothing more than a moth, I bathed in peace. When I was about to change into my clothes, it crawled out and started flying. Obviously, I freaked out. It nearly landed on me and I was not done changing. I wore my clothes and ran out screaming as soon as I got the chance to. That was a little joke and my mum had to catch the cockroach for me while I change my clothes properly. Sigh! There is no more CCA. I can finally go home at 3 and 1.30pm for the next few week. Enjoy the bliss while it lasts. Today I was really careless. I ate at the Malay Stall - Roti John with Rice, egg, and vegetables. In a hurry, I forgot to take my change from the Uncle. So imagine $10 disappearing for no reason. After school, my slow self finally realised the missing money (I still can't believe myself) I went down to the canteen and used the no. that they left in front of the stall to contact the Uncle. He was so kind as to wait for me to collect the money after school from him. THANK YOU UNCLE! Honto ni Arigatou! I managed to get a lift from Charla's mum! YAY! Thank You! The weekends was quite slack and okay. Yesterday, I celebrated by brother's birthday together with the twins in my family - Caleb and Daniel. They had a really cool cake with lego toy and a specially designed cake. My brother's cake was blueberry cheese cake. This is just havenly. I ate quite abit together with jelly mooncake filled with red bean paste. My brother has just turned 17 and his J1 promos will be next week, what a way to celebrate your birthday.
I have been doing maths - mensuration from morning 4am until 4pm. My mom wanted to drag me to do similar triangles and I flared up because I was so tired and easily irritated. Started reading: D Gray-Man chapter 5 Prince of Tennis 107 <3 Akane |

Ten Top Trivia Tips about Elaine Goh!
Wednesday was slack - we did computer music arrangements for the song LAND BEFORE TIME. Why do I always end up pairing CAT!? Sigh... We watched China's lost girls which was this really sad story about the effects of the China one-child policy. Like girls getting dumped/aborted or abandoned due to the preference of boys. And then teenage/middle age girls getting kidnapped and then sold as wives to men who cannot find wives due to this gender imbalance. Husbands divorcing and pressuring their wives to give birth to baby boys. HELLO, your wive is NOT A COW! WHY THE HECK ARE THE GIRLS getting the bulk of TORTURE, when you guys are so gender bias. Being a chinese as well, I wonder what so important about passing the familiy name having their own security. THERE IS A DAMN LIFE AT STAKE HERE. Sometimes I find tradition really stupid but I am a chinese too. If guys are so damn good, go give birth one yourself and don't forget that all guys come from their mothers. Don't insult your own mother. I feel like I need to vent my anger and I guess this is one of the places. If I said anything insulting I'm sorry, but this is the truth and how I feel about it. Enough... Thursday was a long day, but we all survived it. We shifted sitting arrangements again. This time, Catherine and Jessie are sitting beside me. We have started a new topic for science and it is called Creative Problem Solving. Its something like OM but much much simpler. I didn't know that this could be graded into your GPA><> Miss Picca told us about her brother today. About how genius he was, reading a thick volume of encyclopedia about the different species of dogs at 6. And he would drive the family crazy with his questions.           Oresama no bigi ni yoi na   Episode 87-88 concludes the tournaments between Seigaku and Jyousen Jr High. It is also the 2nd chibi version of the Prince of Tennis - the Legend. Its super cute and super hilarious!! Ryoma was born out of a gigantic Ponta (juice) Probably because he is always only drinking that. Thursday, I had to go back to school for OM cleanup from 8 - 10am. It was quite fun but it was a dirty job. We cleaned tables, arranged Spontaneous materials, carried wood from the GE resource room to the D 'n' T and we arranged and tied poles. Then I went to class to study and finish up my CSI graphing. I met up with Catherine at the Tang's bus stop. We had to syncronise our timings to get onto the same bus to Cathay Cineleisure. There, we met up with Kim and Nat. YAY! finally get to watch the long-awaited - HANA YORI DANGO (HYO) We smuggled in yummy korean goodies from the Sol Mart.
In the cinema, the teens in the cinema were practically screaming at every frame of the movie. The name also scream. Sigh... the couple (Domyoujii and Tsukushi) are still the ever comical people. Domyoujii looks like a rock, said the F word at an Eurasian and then made terrible Japanese language errors with cold feet and wet feet. (Apparently it means different things in Jap) They went into Las Vegas to gamble (something you should not try at home) and then lost 5 million US dollars after Domyoujii jumped onto the table, hitting the ball of the '00' spot which they placed their entire bet in. In the finale, They got married. At first they showed a pair of white shoes, and the girls started screaming as they thought it was Rui. Unfortunately, it was Domyoujii. Rui was actually the priest in the wedding and it was such a joke. Domyoujii earned himself the world's slowest guy in the ending. Makino was trying to hint at him that she was pregnant and it took FOREVER to realise. Friday was supposed to be class outing day. However, only 7 turned up at Vivo City and only 5 of us went for the class trip to Sentosa - Jessie, Kimberly, Natalie, Elaine and I. Pathetic but I was kind up relieved. :D Because, if not I would have to act as a class chair on the trip which will be no fun at all. The day ended up with us owing each other money. I'll be sure to pay you guys back! We took the tram and went to the beach to have fun for a while. There we looked for shells, got a little wet, tried building sandcastles but failed and then lost the beach ball which flew off somewhere when we were playing. Then we went for the Skyride and Luge. The skylift was not bad. The only problem was that we were wearing slippers and risked dropping them down and never finding them again. We then took the go-cart down. I'm never sitting in Elaine's future car if she does get a license. The way she drove the go-cart was scary. The guy stamped the 'LUGE' thing on our hands and I couldn't get it off until today. We got lost trying to get to Underwater World and tried out the new Japanese tourist formula - 4 taking Jap, one watching animes:D. It kind of didn't work so we switched back. We were supposed to take the bus, and we got really pissed there. (won't say why). Underwater World was cool but VERY expensive. I'm not going back to Sentosa until they complete the Universal Studios there. Sentosa is a very expensive place. Maybe we should have gone to Escape Theme Park instead. I love the travelator with the cool glass cage. I think the pictures would do the better talking instead. On the MRT home, Jessie and I met this Australian couple who we helped to get to Orchard. Went home exhausted after that. ZZzzzz... Saturday. Morning was hellish. I had drill test and had to reach the Serangoon school by 7 which means getting up at 6am in the morning to wear the uniform. Morever, I spent 1 hour polishing my boots to shine. That is 10 times the usual amout that I usually spent. At the school, it was uniform check, uniform check, uniform check, then drill, drill drill under the hot sun and on the wet basketball court. When the entire ordeal was over, I was over the moon. I sure don't want to fail and repeat this entire thing again. NO!! Lunch was okay at a coffee shop in Serangoon. 4pm was SL. I went to the Pasa Malam to but stuff for the kids. This will be the last session that we will be having. We will be stopping to study for the coming EYAs. I will sure miss the kids. (: I slept the soundest yesterday from 6pm all the way to 5am. Of course I got up to eat dinner but I was so groggy that I didn't know what I was eating. Sunday. The last day of the holidays :( Had church in the morning. At PS(plaza singapura) my mum paid $5 to make a Gundam (mini version called Gundam Astray) at the place. It was really cool. Then I was rushing last minute homework. I cut my hair! Don't worry, I don't think its that short, in fact I think its pretty okay. The salon was having a hair-rebornding sale at $69 the entire holiday. My mum asked me if I wanted to reborn my hair, but I told her not. I like my hair the way it is and I will not reborn, perm, colour or do anything permanently to damage it. Its unique with a weird 'history' and I plan to keep it like that. :D
I finished All the Trigonometry problems in the assessment book and have started on Mensuration. Sigh... holidays are really pathetic. Especially holidays right before the End-of -Years. Just for fun, I shall introduce 2 new mangas that I just read. 1st: Adarshan Hanayome   It has only got 3 chapters so far. But I was really shocked after reading it. If you think that Meru Puri was bad, having a 16 year old girl marry a guy 4 years younger that her. Then you would die of shock in this one. Except this one might probably be easier to accept as the guy is older that the girl at least but its a 10 year old child and a 20 year old guy! (note: this is a political marriage) 2nd: Bloody Kiss   If you are looking for a shorter and sweeter (not so full of dark and forebrooding atmosphere) version of Vampire Knight, you might want to try this. Although there are only 2 vampires (one of them featured in the pictures called Kuroboshi) and they are not as sophisicated as Kaname or tragic like Zero from Vampire Knight, its quite a good substitude. It kind of has a nice ending to it. Plus, its only 6 chapters.        Kikumaru Beam Dunk Smash Moon Volley Higuma Otoshi Twist Serve Mada Mada Dane   substitude the axe for a tennis racket: BURNING!    KYA!! I just watched episode 63 of Tennis no Ojisama. It is entirely in Chibi form and they are so cute. ARGH! Even Tezuka looks cute. OMG!*reverting back to normal state* I woke up at 1am this morning to read 3 Scenes of Act 3. The entire portion of Bassanio choosing the caskets and then declaring his love for her. I didn't have a very good apetite after that. Then I tried out the English comprehension and realise that I didn't understand half of the entire passage. I then came out into the living room. The entire house was silent and calm... just the way I like it. I turned on the computer and attempted the 3 quizzes in moodle and complete the Bronze, Silver and Gold once. Took me 2 hours. Sigh...After that was piano time and then TENNIS TIME! I did maths listening to the Prince of Tennis and La Corda D'orio soundtracks.Kahori chan had her piano examination today and she was counting down the time to it by smsing me.
